Only a week ago, I was cursing myself for wasting money on a pair of fire poi that felt a little too heavy for me. I guess like all things wonderful, all they needed was a little taming. After a week of practice, I think we can say that the gloves are fitting quite nicely!

In the middle of the burn session, our attentions were drawn to the police car pulling up along the path.

"Are we in trouble, Officers?"
"No, no. We are on patrol, just stopping by to see whats going on..."
[Awkward silence]
"Do you guys mind lighting up again? We want to watch..."
Kick ass!!!

I think there was a little confusion over the pictures I posted in one of my previous entries. They were pictures of my fire spinning friends. The pictures above, however, are all me! Many thanks to Catt for capturing the moments and for making me look better than I actually am.

PS. In case anyone was wondering, I have been burned once but the burn mark was only the size of a 5p piece.

Wow! I guess I finally understands what all the fuss over eBay is about! After less than five mins of short burst tactical maneuvers, I emerged on top! Grasping my prize aloft victoriously!

Behold! My new Glow poi!

With eight different insanely bright colours and SEVEN strobe functions to mix. Without a question, these pair of babies will fucked up a lot of people in an innocent MDMA-fuelled rave but no time to reconsider! Time for killing!

Three minutes before the end of the auction, I moved in with a good taster bid but the gal was keen! Yes, she was ready for me and took my bait quite willingly. If I want to win this girl, I must pull out something tasteful. Knowing that she is the kind of girl who would fall for increments, I went up by two. The bid did its job and made her lose her balance and valuable time. Little did she know, even before the page have time to refresh properly, I have already fired off another volley.

The eBay website went blank as it refreshes... "Saltwater" coming to a high note in my earphones... Lieutenant LaForge reporting damages in Engineering, Deck Seven and Eight...

Then... Victory!!!!!!!!

The sweetest thing about it. The same set of poi were sold for £48.00 in one of the last auctions and I got it for £12.50!!! Oh yes! Oh Yes! Oh Yes!

Sorry if you think this entry was a bit ghey but I think I know whats going through the minds of all those eBay addicts. To beat someone else and bag yourself a bargain is a pretty sweet feeling really.

Last night was the second time I went to Manchester in a week! Wasn't too sure about going out so often but a fire spinner meet is something one should not miss! The crowd are just second to none and the feeling of a burn is just pure bliss.

When you are spinning, the world around you dissolves into nothing, the darkness which surrounds you are being momentarily torn open by the two poi screaming around you. As you move, you natural instincts want to keep with the moves that it is already in motion but your brain wants explore and tranlate into a different move. Your conscience is trap somewhere in between trying to persuade either sides to come to an agreement. The feeling of adrenaline rush, awesome and thrilling but at the same time, you are really relaxed and at ease with the motions which you have practiced time and time again. This state of wakefullness is just fucking amazing! Can't wait till my next burn!

After spinning, we ended up in a pub, talking about South Park, Futurama and Family Guy! Personally, I could think of no better ways to spend a Sunday evening.
